Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other construction documents to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
2. Prepare detailed cost budgets and cost estimates for new and existing product lines using a variety of data sources.
3. Conduct risk analysis to identify and mitigate potential challenges and review design options for cost optimization.
4. Utilize BIM (Building Information Modeling) and other estimation software to increase accuracy and efficiency.
5. Collaborate with contractors, architects, engineers, and clients to provide advice on construction cost and feasibility.
6. Prepare and submit competitive project bids, ensuring that all aspects of the project are factored into the estimate.
7. Monitor and track project costs, adjusting estimates and budgets as necessary.
8. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, cost trends, and the competitive environment to ensure accurate and competitive estimates.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Estimator.
2. Proficiency in cost analysis, budgeting, blueprint reading, and estimation software.
3. Experience with commercial and/or industrial construction projects.
4. Proficiency in BIM (Building Information Modeling) is a strong advantage.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
6. Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present cost estimates and financial information in a clear and concise manner.
7. Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet strict deadlines.
