Exciting Opportunity: Clinical Nurse Specialist

We are on the lookout for a Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our dynamic team. At MSK, we truly value the role of the Clinical Nurse Specialist and the significant impact it has on our clinical setting and patient care. Our dedicated nursing team includes over 40 Clinical Nurse Specialists, all committed to delivering excellence in the art and science of professional nursing. Together, we provide compassionate, evidence-based care to patients and families living with cancer in a healing and innovative environment.

Role Overview

As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will:

• Provide clinical leadership in evidence-based oncology nursing practice, education, consultation, and research.
• Support MSK patients with cancer diagnoses and the nursing staff who care for them.
• Coordinate the implementation of practice standards across various sites.
• Demonstrate positive quality outcomes related to nurse-sensitive indicators and patient and staff satisfaction.
• Promote a patient-centered environment through collaboration with nursing leaders and multidisciplinary teams.
• Support and cultivate Relationship Based Care in all aspects of care delivery.
• Disseminate MSK oncology nursing practice standards and outcomes through presentations and evidence-based research findings.

Key Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who possess:

• Current NY State RN license with CNS qualification required.
• NY State RN license and NY State CNS qualification preferred (can be obtained within the first 6 months of employment).
• Master's degree in nursing.
• National certification.
• 3+ years of related oncology experience.
• Experience in an advanced nursing role is strongly preferred.
• Self-direction and strong interpersonal skills are essential.

Additional Information

• Location: 1275 York Avenue, NYC
• Reporting to: The Associate Director, Evidence-Based Practice
• Schedule: Day shift CNS position, 4 10-hour shifts, with weekend coverage.
